I grew up in the cultural wasteland of Tampa, Florida, and went to college at Florida State University where I majored in theatre and tried to learn to cry on cue. I never did. I was always drawn to the physical sketch comedy of Rowan Atkinson, “Mr. Show,” and “The State,” so upon moving to New York City, I started writing and performing sketch comedy at The People’s Improv Theater, the UCB and Magnet Theater. This culminated in a selection to perform at Just for Laughs in Montreal with my sketch team, New Exc!tement.
Currently, I’m a cocreator of the live comedy show “American Town Hall,” a fake city council meeting for a different, real American town every month. In the last year, I’ve written for two different pilots for Comedy Central (“Better. Dumber. Faster.” & “Getting’ Some Strange”) and was a Segment Producer for Season 2 of TruTV’s “Hack My Life.”
I’ve had some success as an actor: currently, I’m playing Pat Landy on FOX’s, “The Grinder.” I’ve also acted on TV shows like “Hart of Dixie” on the CW and “Boardwalk Empire” on HBO.
