Lydia Cavallo Zasa’s passion is helping emerging filmmakers thrive. Lydia previously served for twelve years as Director of the Columbia University Film Festival, a celebrated showcase of short films, feature screenplays and teleplays by MFA students, held annually in New York City and Los Angeles. She also established and ran the ScriptConnect program, which links top student writers with film industry professionals. In these roles at Columbia she helped launch the careers of hundreds of directors, screenwriters and producers. She serves on several non-profit community development boards in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where she lives with her one wonderful husband, two adorable young sons and three crazy Jack Russell Terriers.
