A native of Chicago, Haroula Rose is a writer, director, producer and actor who currently resides in Los Angeles. Rose received her BA and MA from the University of Chicago and was a Fulbright Scholar in Madrid before attending the MFA program at USC. She has produced both narrative and documentary feature films including Fruitvale Station, Heaven Adores You,The Fear of Thirteen, and the upcoming comedy Permanent featuring Rainn Wilson and Patricia Arquette. She was selected for Tribeca’s All Access program, Warner Brothers Directors Workshop and created, wrote and directed a half hour pilot for Time Warner’s Project 150 incubator. She has made several short films and videos, including Wedding Dress, No Love Song and Baby Crazy. Her feature directorial debut, Once Upon A River, for which she penned the screenplay, is currently in development. In addition to her work in film, Rose is an acclaimed singer-songwriter, having put out four records, covers, various singles and remixes. Her latest release (March 2016) was with Thirty Tigers, the Nashville-based company, and followed with extensive touring. Her music can be heard in many TV shows and films such as American Horror Story, How I Met Your Mother, iZombie, Awkward, For A Good Time, Call…and Still Alice among others.
